Terry Hendrickson joined our staff on a full time basis in 1976 after completing college at Colorado State University. He was originally hired as a combination man and moved to our Grover exchange where he maintained the Grover, New Raymer, and Briggsdale areas. Terry came back to Wiggins in 1991 and became our senior CO technician. In 2005 he became the Plant Manager following the retirement of Ron Anderson. His duties are oversight of the combination men, engineering for the placement of new cable, applying for permits, and updating the cable maps and records, as well as many other jobs. Terry and his wife Kathy have 6 children in total, Adam, Garrett, Seth, Taylor, Hope, and Jude. He also is the proud grandfather of three grandsons and one granddaughter. When not at work, Terry enjoys being with his family, and Christian music. He has performed in various bands and functions. He has also served as a worship leader.
Marvel Lehr was hired as the bookkeeper/accountant in October of 1984 and then became the Office Supervisor. In 1999 she was promoted to the Office Manager and now oversees the day-to-day functions of the office staff. She is responsible for the many reports that have to be produced, cost separations, and payroll. Marvel and her husband Darrel have 3 children, Rick, Wendel, and Corina and seven grandchildren. She enjoys being with her family and her hobbies are stamp collecting, reading, sewing and gardening. Marvel grew up in Kansas and graduated from Agra High School and attended the Brown Mackey School of Business. She also attended the Morgan Community College. Before coming to work for the Wiggins Telephone Association, she owned and operated Marvel's Upholstery.
April Simmons recently joined our office March 10, 2008. She will assume the position of office manager. Her background is in the telecommunication industry. She began working as a controller for Bixby Telephone (ILEC). Most recently she spent over 12 years as a cost consultant assisting companies with regulatory reporting requirements. Originally from Oklahoma she moved to Colorado in 2006. April and her husband's children are grown and they have four grandchildren back in Oklahoma. April enjoys making quilts and reading. While her husband, Larry enjoys fly fishing. On behalf of the board, we would like to say "Welcome Aboard" and we look forward to working with you.
Karen Iiams began working for us in July of 2002 as our cashier/receptionist. She is the smiling face you see as you enter the telephone office or the cheery voice you hear when you call. Karen's duties are many, from handling payments and deposits, trouble tickets, and filing, to processing new applications and compiling the directory. She is always busy. Karen and her husband Kelly have one daughter, Kayla. Karen enjoys traveling with her daughter back to her hometown, Bradwell in Essex, England
Casey Quint began working in our outside plant department in July 2001. In 2008 Casey was promoted to Plant Supervisor. His duties include oversight of the combination men, engineering for the placement of new cable, applying for permits, and updating the cable maps and records. Casey grew up in Hill City, Kansas and attended Hill City High School. After graduation, he attended Northwest Kansas Technical College. Casey enjoys rural life and being outside. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and classic cars.
Randy Plummer began working for us in June of 2002 as a combination man. He has a wide range of duties including installing and repairing cut cables, subscriber carrier equipment, inside wiring, phones and working on the switch. Randy grew up in Illinois and attended Lincoln Trail College graduating with an AA in telecommunications. Randy enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, football and NASCAR racing. He is also a member of the Elks Lodge and ABATE.
Dana graduated from Northwest Kansas Technical College. He has worked for a cable TV company for two years and a rural telephone company for 8 ½ years. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for 6 years. Dana and his wife Brenda were married March 30, 1997. The have two sons, Matthew, age 9 and Austin, age 6. When not enjoying his family, Dana likes to fish, camp, and go metal detecting.
Sandy Smith joined our staff in November 2001 as an accounting clerk. She takes care of the board minutes, setting up for the board meeting, health insurance claims, and filing. She handles some of the journal entries and in general helps out where ever she is needed. Sandy grew up in Sterling, Colorado. After graduating from Sterling High School, she enlisted in the Navy. After her tour of duty, she came back to Colorado and attended college in Aurora. Sandy and her husband Robert have one son, Robert Jr. and two grandchildren. She enjoys making her own greeting cards, stamping and scrap booking, and riding with her husband on their motorcycle.
Twila, her husband, Russell, son, Marcus and stepsons J.R. and Wayne live in Ft. Morgan. She also has family in Greeley and Brush. Twila is a member of the Platte Valley Baptist Church. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, beading, puzzles,swimming, walking, and riding bikes. She also enjoys camping, doing things with the church group, traveling and spending time with her children, grandbaby. And the rest of the family.
Glenn Schreiner became our Billing Clerk in July of 1995. His duties include posting payments and charges to our customers' bills, answering questions about their bills, WildBlue support, explaining new features and trouble reporting. Glenn grew up in the Fort Morgan area, attended Fort Morgan High School and studied computer programming at the Morgan Community College. He and his wife Linda enjoy hiking, boating, convertible rides in the country and working with computers.
Heidi Jenson recently began working for us in January 2008. Heidi's duties will cover all phases of office services. You will see her marketing new products, handling customer service calls,keeping up with billing issues, working at the front desk and filling in where needed. Heidi is excited about getting back to work after being a stay at home mom for the last six years. Heidi, her husband Kevin and three children live south of Wiggins. Although her kids keep her busy, her hobbies include scrapbooking, playing volleyball and basketball, shopping and tasting chocolate. Heidi also enjoys spending time with her family outdoors.
